There is a an auction going on to benefit charity, so if you have some money to spend for a good cause and want a collectible MCS poster check this out!
Signed poster for Bid 2 Beat AIDS - All proceeds of the auction go to LIFEbeat, a nonprofit which aims at targeting today's youth with the message of AIDS prevention and awareness. For more information about LIFEbeat and its mission, please visit www.lifebeat.org.

My second bit of news is that Justin's side project (I'll call it a side project, but I don't really know what it is), Farewell Continental, recently played a set at the Ed Ackerson CD release show at the Varsity Theater in Minnesota on November 28th. This was their second show (the first was in October). Anyway, the band features members of Motion City Soundtrack, Small Towns Burn a Little Slower, and To Reinvent. I saw some pictures posted on Flickr from the show, so check those out if you're interested.

And finally, Jeff sent me this behind the scenes video that he did with Xtension Productions for Justin's short film Make A Wish. Enjoy!

Yesterday the Even If It Kills Me Acoustic EP was released digitally. These are the same acoustic songs that were originally bonus tracks to the album this past May. If you haven't bought them yet head to iTunes, it is only $4.95! New album art was released with this EP so if you downloaded the songs back and May and want the album art you can get it at Epitaph.com and you can download it there and attach it to the songs.

I went to the Towson, MD show last night at the Recher Theatre. I posted the setlist so check that out. On the MCS message board Josh posted they are varying the setlist though so it may be different at other shows. Overall it was an awesome show, probably one of the best MCS shows I've seen in the past couple years. Their energy was intense and Justin's voice sounded better than ever, so don't miss this tour!

I've posted my pics from the show plus Hannah's pics, so check those out in the gallery.

And here's Hannah's amazing video of A-OK. I took a video of Point of Extinction that I will probably post tomorrow.

Someone sent in this review and pics from the Milwaukee, WI show at the Eagles Ballroom on 5/25. Enjoy!

Photo of Motion City Soundtrack at the Eagles Ballroom Photo of Motion City Soundtrack at the Eagles Ballroom

As soon as the lights went out in the Eagles Ballroom at the Rave in Milwaukee, WI, the crowd gave a roaring chant of "MCS, MCS." Justin Pierre and the band opened with My Favorite Accident, which left the ballroom audience yearning for more. Motion City Soundtrack played extraordinarily well from keyboarding, to guitar riffs, and upbeat drumming. Justin's powerful vocals from the beginning of the show until the end left an impact on the audience to want to see them whenever they come back to Milwaukee. Motion City is always a solid performance, so go out and buy a ticket!

All of the reviews and pictures I have seen so far online have been for the headliners, Panic at the Disco, so it would be nice to see some MCS stuff from this tour!

In other news, Justin updated us on the "Antonia" project a few days ago and mentioned that is was on hold (thanks Katie):
"the antonia project has been put on hold. heidi, my partner in crime, has had a family emergency and needed to drop out at the last minute. we still have plans to fulfill the project in the future but the exact date/dates are to be determined. the only upside to this is that i can now focus on the make-a-wish project in it's entirety and maybe move into the place i've been living in for the last 2 years."

You can read all the blog entries at the official MCS site in the journal section. His most recent blog says that he is looking for film students in Minnesota interested in documenting the process of making his short film.
