Fan Submitted Reviews Brittany Thompson The halls are filled with a chorus of boos as Metro Station leaves the stage. The crowd does not respond well to their synth pop that could make cotton candy seem sour. The mood is quickly changed as Anberlin takes the stage. A flurry of cirlce pits and shoving ensues. While losing a shoe and flying down stairs sounds unenjoyable, the excitement of the moment makes it the exact opposite. MAE takes the stage and unfortunately there is silence. All but five people (I am one of these five) are standing still in their spots, looking confused and bored. The lead singer desperately asks the crowd "Are you still with us out there?" No one cheers. After a thoroughly enjoyble and beautiful set (well, at least to me and four others) the band leaves the stage with heavy hearts and drooping heads. The anticipation builds as the curtain is dropped to reveal a banner covered in 3D paper airplanes. "MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK" is illuminated as the lights dim and the crowd cheers. An adorable Matt walks out on stage followed slowly by Justin and the rest of the band, the crowd goes wild. Girls are screaming, guys are protecting their screaming girls from other screaming girls and there is a general wave of bodies that pursues the stage. The stage goes dark for a split second then is brightly lit as the band begins to play "Fell In Love Without You." After finishing the song Justin greets the crowd and for the next hour and fifteen minutes no one dares to look away. Motion City Soundtrack joins the elite group of musicians who can not only release a good record, but take that record to the corners of the earth and make everyone fall absolutely in love with it (and them). They are nothing short of captivating, even if you have seen them many times before (as I have). With their witty banter and crazy antics, Motion City Soundtrack is a must-see live band for any fan of music. Online Reviews
