Motion City Soundtrack has been one of my favourite bands for a while, a friend had told me they were playing August 7th at the Opera house, so right away i went on ticketmaster and bought tickets.

Needless to say, the entire show was unbelievable. The Forecast, The Higher, and Sherwood before were all amazing.

High with anticipation of hearing my favourite band play live for the first time, i was not disappointed. Not only was i not disappointed, my expectations were exceeded! They sounded just as good live (if not better?) as they did on their albums.

They opened up with Capital H, one of my personal favourites, what a great way to kick it off! They followed up with (i believe) Throw Down, which is another amazing concert song and got the crowd very rowdy.

They moved into Everything is Alright, which was absolutely amazing. One of the most amazing experiences of my life, i have never sang so loud in my entire life.

They played Time Turned Fragile, Make Out Kids, My Favourite Accident, Let's Get Fucked Up and Die, Don't Call It a Comeback, This is for real (new single! so good!), Broken Heart, Better Open The Door, Perfect Teeth, a new songs name i didn't catch, i believe Feel Like Rain.

They ended with Hold Me Down, this was of course before the encore! The crowd after Hold Me Down was going nuts, and Motion City Came back out and played The Future Freaks Me Out. Another one of those things i'll never forget! There's a video on youtube of the encore performance.

I'm sure i missed a few songs, people can correct me!

Motion City themselves was worth the price of 27 bucks (damn ticketmaster charges!) and the other bands just made it the best 27 dollars i have ever spent. I ended up buying two motion city shirts as well.

They're back here in 101 days, tickets are on sale tomorrow and you can bet i'll be ordering them the second they become available.

16/10 absolutely blown away. I don't think anyone could have a better first concert.
